My name is Addison ManWarren and I am the Salutatorian of the Class of 2026. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, where I created “Project Kindness Ripples” as my leadership project for our club.
For this project, I wanted to create something meaningful. Something that could remind people they are not alone and encourage more empathy within our community. I decided to ask myself what I would have wanted to see around the school when I was younger. What would’ve made my day a little better? Knowing that someone cared.
I have created original posters to put around the school, highlighting how important it is to be kind to ourselves and the people around us. Each of the designs are handcrafted by myself using Canva and Adobe Illustrator, tools that I learned to use in my Graphic Design class here in Granville.
The name, “Let Kindness Ripple”, stems from the idea that small actions can have a big impact, causing a chain reaction for our whole community.
This is a saying that my mom would tell me when I was younger. That one little thing that you don’t even think about, can have a reaction far larger than you would think it would.
As I prepare to graduate, I just want to do my part in creating a comfortable environment for students in the future. If even one person sees these posters and feels supported or cared about, then this will make the whole project worth it.
